Steve Hessey
Steve is a skilled architectural designer with 25 years experience in architecture working on a wide range of projects. He uses a combination of high quality hand drawing and computer rendering to convey technical design and presentation ideas.
Steve joined Edgingtons Architects in 1995 and is now an Associate Director providing front end concept design ideas through to planning presentation and technical detailing. Steve’s educational work experience involves the design and delivery of a wide variety of buildings for numerous schools, including re-ordering and extension of existing, and new facilities. He has experience in the design of various educational building types including sports and swimming centres, technical classroom facilities, libraries, performing arts and pastoral / boarding houses, etc.
Steve has designed buildings for numerous established schools including, Eton College, St Mary’s and St George’s Schools in Ascot, Queen Annes School in Reading and Bishopsgate School in Englefield Green.
In recent years, Steve has been involved with the prestigious projects for St Mary’s School, Ascot. Edgingtons successfuly won a limited competition for a new first class 6th form boarding and pastoral centre. Steve has been heavily involved with the design and development of a new swimming centre in the Green Belt at St George’s School and a new sports and fitness centre for Bishopsgate School, which has also received consent in the Green Belt.
