Milton Keynes Christian Centre

Milton Keynes Christian Centre is a thriving contemporary Church in the City.  Their growing congregation together with the services they provide to the local community and beyond lead to the need to extend and redevelop their facilities.

Planning Permission was granted for a new purpose built auditorium to seat 650 people, a new foyer and cafe that would be an accessible drop-in community hub available throughout the week and alterations to existing accommodation to provide childcare and other facilities.

Edgingtons worked as part of a design and build team with Mansell Construction to bring this project to fruition.  The new extension had to meet strict environmental conditions imposed by the Local Authority, in particular that noise should not affect the neighbouring residents and the sustainability of the development.  The building achieved a  BREEAM rating of ‘Very Good’ to demonstrate its sustainable compliance.
