A new 3,000 sq m contemporary building has been delivered to extend the Business School at the University of Exeter, enhancing facilities for the School and neighbouring buildings.

The development provides new lecture theatres, study areas, a café, and high-quality learning and teaching spaces for students and academic staff.
The scheme introduces a new student plaza, landscaped western courtyard, and central sculpture court, integrating the existing Business School and Xfi buildings into a cohesive facility. A glazed atrium forms the heart of the building, strengthening connections between internal and external environments, with entrances positioned to connect key campus pedestrian routes.

The surrounding public realm has been redeveloped to create a multifunctional landscape that unites previously disconnected spaces and varied architectural styles.

Coordinated use of colour, materials, and planting supports wayfinding, encourages engagement, and establishes a strong sense of place across the campus.
